MORG HERALD OF DESTRUCTION: Issue #7

"I have a major problem" Foreman pondered. Morg the current herald of Galactus is a completely amoral being. He is a poor choice for a herald but how do I convince Galactus of this? His lack of morals and bloodlust has caused unnecessary casualties in the performance of his duties. Morg must be stopped and Galactus must listen to reason, hopefully. I seek not a confrontation with the Devourer of Worlds, but neither will I shy away from it. I respect Galactus' position in this universe he should respect my as well.

This could be interesting to watch. Thanos thought to himself while sitting in his command chair on the bridge of the Sanctuary. Foreman vs a herald of Galactus, definitely worth observing. Morg is known as a savage and ruthless opponent who should make an excellent test of Foreman's combat skills.

Morg was wreaking havoc butchering thousands on the inhabited world of Tolan when Foreman found him. Nothing but senseless slaughter Foreman observed. "Care for a real test Morg?" Foreman declared. Morg suddenly turned caught off guard. This world didn't have any defenders that he knew about. This being had to came from some place else. Foreman landed facing Morg inwardly angry over this senseless slaughter. "I am the herald of the mighty Galactus. This world has been claimed for him." Morg proudly proclaimed. "I seriously doubt Galactus approved of wholesale slaughter." Came Foreman's reply. "Doesn't matter there'r all dead when Galactus arrives." Morg chuckled.

"Morg you are a bully and a savage, unfit to be a herald of Galactus. You have personally murdered thousands. "You are evil and judgement is rendered." "You will die here fool." Morg spat out while he charged Foreman his cosmic axe poised to strike. Foreman smiled and side stepped Morg's charge while striking him across his back with a red glowing Gohos sending him tumbling to the ground. Morg cried out in pain never having tasted such mystical energy before. Morg rolled and sprang up infuriated, determined to destroy Foreman. A massive blast of cosmic energy bursts from Morg's axe looking to strike Foreman. Foreman simply raises his staff Gohos and the blast travels harmless around him. Morg charges again and this time Foreman meets him head on. The current herald has never met a superior melee combatant until now. He fights savagely but cannot land a telling blow. Morg is clearly confused but continues his fruitless assault. An hour later Foreman expertly dismantles Morg and he hits the ground on his knees totally beaten.

Thanos continuously watching from his ship was honestly surprised. Morg was soundly defeated and Foreman fought with a cold and calculating manner. Foreman can be rather ruthless when angered, still he fought from his intellect not his emotions. The Titan surmised.

"Now do you understand why might doesn't always make you right?" Foreman asks. "Morg shakes his head and answers, "The strong must always rule over the weak. "Then you have sealed your fate." Foreman replies. Morg laughs, "Kill me then if you can. My master Galactus can control the soul. He will bring me back. "Yes I suppose he would. But even Galactus needs the whole body to perform such a feat." Foreman states. Gohos flattens at the ends and develops an edge. Morg's eyes widen as his fate dawns on him. Gohos slices through the air separating his head from his body. A completely lifeless Morg falls into the Tolan dirt. Foreman waves his hand and mystically teleports Morg's severed head into the heart of Tolan's star.

Foreman has again demonstrated the capacity to kill. A being not be taken lightly Thanos mused. But how will he deal with what's coming next?

Galactus arrives on the planet and is not pleased. "Why have killed my herald!" Galactus booms out. "By the right of my appointed position of being the balance between good and evil in this universe. Morg's amorality made him a poor herald great Galactus. This certainly would have eventually caused you many inconveniences. I suspect you would prefer to avoid such matters? Morg was truly an evil being. When I arrived he was personally slaughtering thousands of Tolanians who were not attacking him. And this was not the only planet in which he engaged in his personal depravity." Came Foreman's reply.

"I am Galactus and I chose my heralds. I trust we have no further dealing with each other." Galactus stated and teleported away. Well that actually went better than I have hoped, Foreman thought to himself while leaving Tolan.

So Foreman knows how to use diplomacy when need the arises. A little more data gathering and then it will be time to truly test him, Thanos thought.
